Below you will find a temporary review for this film. The real (better, more complete) review will be online very soon.

It is very clear why a lot of people will not like 'Van Wilder'. Van Wilder is a guy who is already seven years in college and likes to party... a lot. We soon see that he likes to party but that the things he does are not only for himself. It seems he really wants to help people. He raises money with some kind of bikini contest, but the money is not for him. It is to save the swimming team next year. Another student Gwen, played by Tara Reid, wants to be a great journalist and had to do a story on Van. Of course things start not very well, but as they get to know each other... Well, you do the maths.

Yes, the story is stupid and it has all been done before, but the audience it is made for will not mind. This is the easiest kind of comedy to sell. Hot babes and cool guys: teenage boys will love it. No one else though.
