Below you will find a temporary review for this film. The real (better, more complete) review will be online very soon.

'Van Helsing' is one of those films you should not take too seriously and you might enjoy it. I did up to a certain level, especially the technical level. Art-direction, cinematography and most of the visual effects are as effective as they can be in a film like this. Hugh Jackman is a nice hero although he is not as perfect as he is playing Wolverine in 'X-Men'. Beckinsale is once again a sexy heroine: I liked her better in 'Underworld' where she actually was a vampire, but here she is good and sexy enough.

And what about the story you might ask? Well, Dracula (Richard Roxburgh) needs Frankenstein's Monster (Shuler Hensley) to use a machine invented by Dr. Frankenstein (Samuel West) to make his dead born children alive. Van Helsing (Jackman), with the help of Anna Valerious (Beckinsale), has to stop that and save Anna's brother Velkan (Will Kemp) as well. On the way Van Helsing has to deal with some werewolves, a lot of other vampires and Mr. Hyde (Robbie Coltrane). I told you not to take it too seriously.
