Below you will find a temporary review for this film. The real (better, more complete) review will be online very soon.

'Up Close & Personal' stars Robert Redford and Michelle Pfeiffer. He once was a great newsreporter, she really wants to be one. He will be her mentor and she gets better and better. And oh yeah, they fall in love. Basically this is it, but we do get the idea how it works in a job like newsreporter. It is fascinating to see.

Robert Redford is almost always great, even in films like 'Indecent Proposal', and here again he is. Lately I am starting to admire Michelle Pfeiffer more and more. Whatever she does, she does it good. Not always great (like in The Fabulous Baker Boys) but always good. In this film she is very good. The rest of the cast including Stockard Channing does a pretty good job as well.

I liked this movie although I felt the ending was a little forced. It didn't matter much, you will enjoy this one.
