Below you will find a temporary review for this film. The real (better, more complete) review will be online very soon.

'Shrek' is a wonderful animated film that from time to time makes a little fun of Disney. The movie is funny, and if you have seen a lot of animated features made by Disney, even funnier. Shrek (voice of Mike Myers) is an ogre who lives in a swamp. The evil Lord Farquaad (voice of John Lithgow) sends all the fairy tale creatures to that swamp and Shrek is not happy. He goes to Farquaad's castle to complain and he is promised that he will get his swamp back if he gets Princess Fiona (voice of Cameron Diaz) so Farquaad can marry her. Together with Donkey (voice of Eddie Murphy) he starts his mission.

Shrek is not a nice creature. He is that way because no one can accept him. He is a little rude, but that only makes things funnier. Myers does such a great job with this character, you would almost think he is a real person. Murphy has made bad movies the last couple of years but here he is at the top of his game, stealing every moment he has. As for Diaz, she brings a certain sweetness and makes her character kind of sexy.

The story is a simple one, but has so many nice touches. Look at the way how Donkey saves himself and Shrek from a Donkey, or how Princess Fiona has practiced for the day she is rescued. Those little things, the Disney fun, the great voices of the great actors, it all makes sure you will enjoy 'Shrek'.
