Below you will find a temporary review for this film. The real (better, more complete) review will be online very soon.

In the same year of 'Insomnia' Robin Williams stars in 'One Hour Photo'. As in 'Insomnia' he is very creepy in this movie. With the two movies Robin Williams proves he is a great actor also in roles like this. Here he plays Sy Parrish who works behind the photo counter in a big store. He seems like a very nice guy, even knows the regular clients by name. His favorite clients are the Yorkins. Nina (Connie Nielsen), Will (Michael Vartan) and their kid Jake (Dylan Smith) also know Sy by name. Sy develops their pictures and also makes one set for himself. In a very creepy shot we see how all the Yorkin-pictures hang on his wall.

Then Sy discovers Will is having an affair with Maya Burson (Erin Daniels) because she brings in photos with the two of them. We already know Sy is not your usual person and we know he has a lot of affection for Nina and Jake. What will happen is not for me to reveal but you already know that the events end with the arrest of Sy, because that is where the movie starts.

This is a creepy movie without seeing really scary things. The Robin Williams performance, the intelligent slowly developing plot, the music and the great cinematography all create this creepy atmosphere. Director Mark Romanek has made a very fine psychological thriller.
