Below you will find a temporary review for this film. The real (better, more complete) review will be online very soon.

'Ja Zuster, Nee Zuster' is based on a Dutch television series that was very popular in the sixties. This movie version is as cheerful as the series was and even if you have never seen a single episode you can fully appreciate the movie. It is a simple story about Sister Klivia (Loes Luca) and her resting home. She lives there with a couple of people including Jet (Tjitske Reidinga) and Gerrit (Waldemar Torenstra) who was a burglar before he moved in. Their landlord and neighbor is Boordevol (Paul Kooij) wants the group out of the place because it is not really a resting home and the noise that is made is bothering him.

This is a cheerful musical with funny and charming moments. The performances are all perfect for a movie like this. Especially Loes Luca and Paul Kooij as the villain are perfect. There is a nice little subplot about a hairdresser named Wouter (Paul de Leeuw) who used to know Boordevol very good. This is a movie that can be enjoyed by the whole family.
