Below you will find a temporary review for this film. The real (better, more complete) review will be online very soon.

Rosswell, New Mexico becomes Rockwell, Maine and 1947 becomes 1957 in this animation picture. A big UFO is landing near Rockwell and the thing turns out to be a giant robot that eats metal things when it is hungry. A little boy, Hogarth (voice by Eli Marienthal), finds the robot, saves his life and becomes friends with him. He has to hide the robot from his mother (voice by Jennifer Aniston) and of course from the government. He does this together with Dean McCoppin (voice by Harry Connick Jr.), the man who owns a scrapyard, the perfect hiding place for a metal-eating thing.

The robot is voiced by Vin Diesel. All the voices are perfect for their characters. Watching 'The Iron Giant' it really feels you are watching a real movie. The animation is very good and the characters seem to be alive. The movie is funny and it even has a message. It also works as simple entertainment.
