Below you will find a temporary review for this film. The real (better, more complete) review will be online very soon.

'Inside Deep Throat' is a documentary about one of the most profitable films ever made, the adult film 'Deep Throat'. Although I, like most others, know the film I have not seen it yet; after this documentary I definitely will. 'Deep Throat' was released in new York in 1972 and immediately the controversy started. This documentary explains all the controversy, shows interviews made with the people involved back then, and simply gives a lot of extra information.

That the documentary itself sometimes does not know what it is thinking is a minor flaw, but this sure is an interesting story to tell. Lawsuits, feminism, porn stars converted to Christianity, Jack Nicholson and Warren Beatty fighting for the right of, well, free acting, Richard Nixon, Ronald Raegan and of course Hugh Hefner and Larry Flynt; 'Inside Deep Throat' has it all. If you are interested in the story behind this movie this is a great way to start. That said, the film deserves its NC-17 rating in showing exactly why that 1972 adult film was called 'Deep Throat'.
