Below you will find a temporary review for this film. The real (better, more complete) review will be online very soon.

'Immortal Beloved' is about Beethoven and the search for his immortal beloved. The one who is searching for her is Anton Schindler (Jeroen Krabbé). During this search we see the story of Ludwig von Beethoven. After famous people like Lee Harvey Oswald and Dracula we have Beethoven to be played by Gary Oldman. Again he does a terrific job.

The story is interesting although it starts a little slow. It has a great last part with one of the greatest classical pieces ever written, and a scene that shows him as a kid that is the most beautiful scene in the movie.

Isabella Rossellini, Dutch actress Johanna ter Steege and Valeria Golino (that girl from 'Hot Shots!') have important roles as the women in Beethoven's life. With good acting, a fine direction, some great sequences and the best classical music out there 'Immortal Beloved' is a very good movie.
