Below you will find a temporary review for this film. The real (better, more complete) review will be online very soon.

My all-time favorite western is the Sergio Leone movie 'Once Upon a Time in the West' ('C'era una Volta il West') but this one comes close. This is the third movie of Leone's "Man with No Name"-trilogy, and it is the best. In this movie the Man with No Name is called Blondie and as in 'A Fistful of Dollars' and 'For a Few Dollars More' he is played by Clint Eastwood.

Clint Eastwood is the good, Eli Wallach is Tuco, the bad, and Lee Van Cleef is Angel Eyes, the bad. They all want the same: 200,000 dollars that is hidden somewhere on a sematary. The bad and the ugly only know the sematary and the good only knows the name on the grave and therefor they need each other. Basically this is the main story. The movie has its length because there are a lot of little sub-plots and Leone takes his time for every scene.

His style, how he creates suspense, how he uses the camera as a trick device (the characters only see what we see on screen) is simply great. Not much makes sense but it doesn't matter because it is a pleasure to watch. Definitely a classic western, better than most others.
