Below you will find a temporary review for this film. The real (better, more complete) review will be online very soon.

Five teenagers have to come to school on Saturday because they did things they were not supposed to do. We have Andrew Clarke (Emilio Estevez) who is a wrestler, John Bender (Judd Nelson) who is a real rebellion, Brian Johson (Anthony Michael Hall) who is the nerd with the high grades, Claire Standish (Molly Ringwald) who is one of the popular girls, and Allison Reynolds (Ally Sheedy) who is a girl with no friends. The teacher that has to watch the five is Richard Vernon (Paul Gleason). He has a hard time especially with Bender, who is also a jerk to the other four most of the time. The five slowly learn they have more in common than they want to admit.

The movie is great in its own way. It tries to understand teenagers and each of the five represent a certain group you usually see on every high school. The movie starts really funny with especially the scenes involving Bender. Judd Nelson does a great job with his performance. Paul Gleason is great as well and the arguments Bender has with Vernon are just great. After a while we have some touching sequences, well, touching in a certain way again. It truly is great. The other performances other pretty good too, and Sheedy looks beautiful. Absolutely worth watching.
