Bulletproof Monk rating: (out of 4 stars) United States; 2003 Directed by Paul Hunter; produced by Terence Chang, Charles Roven, Douglas Segal, John Woo; written by Ethan Reiff, Cyrus Voris Starring Chow Yun-Fat, Seann William Scott, Jaime King, Karel Roden, Victoria Smurfit, Roger Yuan Below you will find a temporary review for this film. The real (better, more complete) review will be online very soon.
'Bulletproof Monk' contains scenes and ideas taken directly from movies such
as 'Raiders of the Lost Ark, 'The Matrix', 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon'
and even 'Ocean's Eleven', just to name the most obvious. Especially 'The
Matrix' is a movie that you will think of in a lot of single scenes, and
even the story has elements from that movie. If this movie was good, or at
least enjoyable in any single way, I would not have complained very much,
but this movie is not good or enjoyable. A few scenes may be, but that is
it. |
