Below you will find a temporary review for this film. The real (better, more complete) review will be online very soon.

Nick Nolte is Lucky Mann, a handyman, and his wife is Phyllis Mann, played by Julie Christie. They have an understanding relationship where Lucky is allowed to have sex with the women he does jobs for, as long as things aren't serious. This arrangement has something to do with their past. One day he has a job in the house of Marianne Byron (Lara Flynn Boyle) and her husband Jeffrey (Johnny Lee Miller). He doesn't want to have sex with her anymore, he treats her not good anyway, so the handyman is good for more than just a job. Phyllis witnesses her husband together with Marianne and to her it seems a bit too serious. I will not explain how, but she meets Jeffrey and things get complex.

How the story develops I will not reveal. Although the story has some nice touches and surprises the thing that makes this movie watchable is the performances. Especially Julie Christie is intriguing. Lara Flynn Boyle is very good as well. The ending was a little messy but it ended the way it should, and it was pretty funny as well.
